Anime NYC 2024 was one for the books and the Girltaku team took in every moment! If you weren't there and got some FOMO, let me tell you EXACTLY what you missed!

To kick off night one of the weekend, Girltaku and That’s Dope Entertainment threw the One Piece party of all parties!

On a double-decked yacht, we sang, danced, and did as pirates do on the seas…well, New York harbor! Not everyone was a One Piece fan, I think everyone left feeling like we were part of a crew! DJ Taylor Senpai supplied the vibes for the night! We went from We Are, to Hollaback Girl, Kim Possible, to a performance by Billy Han! Even those who got a little seasick were singing sea shanties by the time the ride ended! 

Guests strutted down the deck for the fashion contest hosted by the Girltaku girls! We cheered on all of our fellow pirates, but @Rin.Glossy dressed as Bartelemo won the One Piece last night- A Gear 5 Luffy Funko pop! Afterwards was a scavenger hunt that took over the whole boat! All guests left as winners with a One Piece goody bag and lots of laughs! Special shout out to Godswill and That’s Dope Entertainment for letting us join the crew!

The city never sleeps and neither did Girltaku!

We followed the yacht party up with our friends at Sonic Boom Box! Partnering with Project Nutype, SBBX did their thing at Musica, making it the perfect Friday night after-party! We got many pics on the dance floor and at the iconic photo booth! 

Saturday night we celebrated our second Anime NYC party co-hosted with the fabulous Sonic Boom Box and Newtown HQ!

The line was out the door to get into the hottest Anime NYC after-party! Spin hosted special guests like Rachelszero, Dyebones, and Tony Weaver Jr, bringing their nerdy charm to the function. Partygoers vibed to the beats of DJs Dimitri, DJ Taylor Senpai, and AnimeNightClub! 

And if you’re not one to shake ass on the dance floor, you were part of the cutthroat Beyblade competition! Senpapi Gabe also hosted a Magic the Gathering meetup, teaching anyone who wanted to play! Spin is the perfect location for gamers, with multiplayer games on the side and ping-pong tables galore! You can take the nerd out of the con, but you can't take the con out of the nerd.

Of course, our parties were top-notch, but we also put in that work on the con floor!

We went around asking some hard truths and plenty of dares to con-goers! Our apologies if you were asked what Pokemon you would want to eat.
