Pika is an LA based cosplayer, graphic designer, and the world’s strongest Fairy Tail defender. She began her content career on what is colloquially known now as “2020 Anime TikTok.” So she’s a big believer in being cringe, AND FREE. If she’s not answering the phone, she’s probably binge-reading a romance manga or catching Pokemon.

Lo is a Texas based creator who loves retro anime and all things pop culture! She’s a mental health advocate that hopes to bring people of all walks of life together through their love of anime, manga, manwhas and webtoons. Ask her about You Got Served, and you have a friend for life.

The local Nana enthusiast, writer, cosplayer, and content creator! Their love for all things nerdy is kind of like a best friend who won’t shut up about her current obsessions. Maya is a Philly based, art obsessed, pop culture addict who enjoys chaotic good. She’s an aspiring fictional novelist, human rights and sustainability advocate, and anime fanatic. She loves all things music, animation and storytelling, but is known to cosplay on a whim. Maya joined Girltaku hoping to help give life to a space dedicated to the feminine experience in niche communities.

Bianca, Gege Akutami’s #1 defender, is a NYC-based Creative Director with a passion for all things manga, manwha, and manhua. When she’s not behind or in front of a camera, she’s hunting down dark and historical fantasies to binge. Bianca thrives on combining her fandom enthusiasm with industry knowledge to create deeper engagement around anime.

Resident Fujoshi, Lula is a Charlotte based Voice Actor, Cosplayer and Panel host! She is passionate about all things nerd but especially anything BL. Being chronically online has its perks so if you need a new read she’s your girl! Lula is very excited to join the Girltaku Team and be a part of making the anime space more girly pop!

Melanie is a writer and editor based in Japan by way of the U.K. and Brazil. When she was five, Sailor Moon happened to be on at the right time after school, and the rest is history. A lover of languages, stories and pop culture, she reads and watches a range of genres and mediums — but is ultimately always after a new ship to root for. She is excited to share her experiences at various anime and manga events in Japan for Girltaku’s readers.

NYC Harlem-born and raised, Tia is 100% blerd, 100% artist, 100% comedian, and a jack of most creative trades! When she’s not doing cosplay photography edits (the cheapest way possible) or being an internet clown, she’s passionately crafting dissertations on anime narratives and themes.

Vanessa is a Las Vegas–born journalist who never really left the fandom life. She hits article deadlines by day and raves her heart out to techno and bass house by night. You’ll probably never meet a bigger Kingdom Hearts fan, and she’s got a tattoo to prove it. She’s always loved writing blogs, articles, and journals , which made Girltaku an easy yes.
